Hello everyone. My name is Satoru Utsumi, representative of a new party, the Non-Partisan Coalition, and a candidate for the Kanagawa electoral district in the House of Councillors election. In addition to being a doctor, business owner, and writer, I ran for Governor of Tokyo last year and for the 15th district of Kanagawa in the House of Representatives election.

In the news, there has been much talk about the shortage of rice and the release of stockpiled rice, but to begin with, stockpiled rice is bought with taxpayer money. The cost is less than 100 yen for 5 kg of rice, which is the kind of rice that will next be sent to livestock farms. It is strange to praise the sale of such rice for 1,800 yen, and if we consider food self-sufficiency and the livelihood of the people to be at stake, we should at least distribute the rice free of charge.

And above all, this situation is the result of the government’s failure to support farmers through its policy of reducing rice acreage, its unwillingness to increase food self-sufficiency, and its abolition or revision of the Seed Law and the Seed and Seedling Law.

The nature of the politics taking place in Japan today is set in stone. To sum up, the policies that are being implemented are those that give the coldest treatment to Japan, Japanese people, and Japanese small- and medium-sized businesses, and favor only foreign countries, immigrants, and foreign-affiliated firms.

The Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Koizumi, who is the man of the hour, has been saying that farmers who rely on imports should use leases and has no intention of helping farmers at all. He is following in the footsteps of his father who sold out the postal service, increased exploitation of workers with the Dispatched Worker Law, and destroyed Japan.

Now, the ruling party is a matter of course, and even the opposition parties promote only immigration policies, land and real estate are bought up, and crime and troubles have drastically increased. The subsidies for small and medium-sized enterprises are almost nonexistent, and foreign-owned enterprises are given preferential treatment.

One of the issues is the reduction of the consumption tax, but the consumption tax is regressive and has elements of a refundable tax.

In addition, corporate taxes have been reduced in conjunction with the consumption tax hike, and as a result, the retained earnings of large corporations have increased rapidly since the consumption tax rate was raised to 5 percent, and now stand at 700 trillion yen.
This is no different from the embezzlement of our consumption tax dollars by big business.

The maximum amount of insurance premiums has been increased again, and the pension bill has been changed, but the contents are terrible. The compulsory enrollment of part-timers in the welfare pension system, the termination of survivors’ pensions on time, and the issue of lump-sum withdrawal payments for immigrants are all being discussed.

Foreigners’ welfare benefits and national insurance arrears are increasing, water supply, fishery associations, and national forests are being sold to foreign companies, mega solar power plants are cutting down mountains, and nature is being destroyed.

What country are we in, and to what country have the current politicians sold their souls? Many people say that we are racist just because we oppose immigration policy, but what we are suffering from now is reverse discrimination against Japanese people. And the system is such that only a few very wealthy people such as foreign companies, investors, and funds are taking everything.

This is a harsh word here, but I want to make it clear. This country is no longer a democracy, but a state of aristocratic slavery. Ladies and gentlemen, we were not born to be devoured as slaves. We should have no problem with the minimum freedoms and rights, and the taxes and insurance premiums we have paid, and we should have no problem with the services we receive first.

Perhaps sensing such dissatisfaction of the people, the majority of both the ruling and opposition parties are steering toward constitutional revision, but please check the contents of the draft constitution, even if only once. In a word, it is as if the people have no rights, no freedom, and the state is superior to the people.

This election will be the last election to decide the future of Japan. Since there will be no major elections for the next three years, both the ruling party and the opposition parties will run even more out of control than they are now. I have decided to run for the third time in order to protect my life, my rights, and my livelihood in the face of the horrendous situation of both parties on the right and the left.

I will continue to fight to prevent the worst political situation and treason in our country. If there is anyone who shares this desire, I would be very grateful if you could give me, Satoru Utsumi, your clean support and one vote.

Thank you very much for your kind attention.
